Report a bug

In the app choose Help → Report a Bug…; it opens an email to [email protected] with your app and macOS version filled in. If MacMetric quits unexpectedly it offers to email a short crash summary. Nothing is sent unless you press Send, and MacMetric never reports to Apple. You can also write to [email protected] directly — include what you expected and what you saw. We aim to reply within 2 business days.

Requirements

macOS 15 Sequoia or later on Apple Silicon (M1 and newer). Intel Macs are not supported.

First launch

This release is signed but not yet notarized by Apple, so macOS may block it the first time. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway, or run once in Terminal:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/MacMetric.app

Free version and license

• Without a key, MacMetric runs in free mode: Overview, CPU, Memory and Settings. Buy a license to unlock every page.
• After you buy, your license key is shown on the confirmation page. Paste it into Settings → License (or on any locked page). Lost it? Open the confirmation page and enter your order number, or email us.
• Keys are verified offline; MacMetric does not phone home to check them.

Troubleshooting

• A value shows "Unavailable": macOS doesn't expose it on your Mac or without admin rights.
• High CPU with the window open: close the window (menu bar mode is lighter) or raise the refresh interval in Settings.
• No menu bar icon: open MacMetric from Applications; check Settings → Menu Bar.

Updates

MacMetric checks this site once a day for a newer version (you can turn this off) and shows an Update available notice with a download button. You can also choose MacMetric → Check for Updates…. To update, download the new DMG and drag MacMetric over the old copy in Applications; your settings and license are kept.

Verify your download

The SHA-256 checksum is published at MacMetric-1.0.0.dmg.sha256. Compare it with:

shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/MacMetric-1.0.0.dmg

Uninstall

• Quit MacMetric from the menu bar.
• Delete /Applications/MacMetric.app.
• Optional: remove ~/Library/Application Support/MacMetric and ~/Library/Preferences/com.shafiurrahman.MacMetric.plist. The license key is intentionally kept so reinstalling does not lose your license.

Delete my data

In the app: Settings → Delete all history. To delete your order or waitlist record, email [email protected].
